MILLBURY

MILLBURY - William J Flynn, III went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Monday, January 11, 2021 at UMass Hospital from failing health.

He leaves his wife, Judith E. (Tarbox) Flynn, together for 46 years; his two sisters, Linda Flynn of Dunedin, FL and Jo-Ann Reed of Worcester; a sister-in-law Barbara Bernard of Millbury; three nieces, Jennifer Reed of Southbridge, April Iannoli of Worcester, Gail Flynn of Spencer; two great nieces and a great nephew.

He is predeceased by his parents, Willian J. Flynn, Jr and Marie (Grenon) Flynn Westall and his brother, Michael Flynn.

He graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade School in Carpentry.  He joined the Navy Seabees after High School and did two tours of Vietnam.  After getting out of the Navy he worked at The Felter’s Co. in Millbury for many years as head carpenter.  He met, on a blind date, the love of his life, Judy.  Moving to Florida he worked maintenance in a Senior Living facility and office buildings.

Moving back to Massachusetts, he worked for the Auburn Housing Authority in maintenance, until he became disabled.

He will be greatly missed by family, friends and Church family at the Mill Church in Millbury.

We want to thank UMass Hospital, for all their support and caring hearts, especially the Liver and Kidney Transplant Departments, during the many years of his health issues.  They are awesome…..

There are no calling hours.  A memorial service will be held at a future date.

After cremation, his ashes will be buried in Central Cemetery, Millbury.

Donations can be made to:
