Ronald Ernest Provencal, previously of Spencer MA, died peacefully at his home in Rochdale, MA under the care of The Meadows facility staff after battling from sudden illness on October 22, 2021. He was 83 years old.
Ron was born July 29, 1938 in Millbury Massachusetts to his parents Ernest and Florence. He was one of three children, leaving behind his brother Charlie, and preceded in death by his sister Marilyn (Provencal) Dulmaine. One of his life’s passions was music, he loved to sing and was a proficient guitar player. He even used to perform in a country western band along with his brother when he was younger, an accomplishment he was quite proud of! He was also known for his love of classic western movies, and despite being a life long New Englander, the New York Yankees held a large place in his heart, despite being surrounded by “other” fans!
Ron leaves behind 3 sons; Daniel (wife Diane) of Millbury MA, Timothy (wife Eileen) of Grant FL, and Mark (wife Heather) of Palm Bay FL. He also leaves behind his previous daughter-in-law, Shelly also of Palm Bay FL. His legacy also includes his 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren! His ex-wife and very best friend, Carol (Richford) Provencal preceded him in death as well.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 27th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid’s Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury. Followed by internment at Howard Cemetery on Armsby Road in Sutton.
