WORCESTER – Pearl V. (Chase) McAdam, 101, died Friday May 20th at Life Care Center of Auburn, with her family by her side.

Her husband, John B. McAdam Sr. died in 1973.  She leaves five children, Patricia Sciascia and her husband Philip, Kathleen Patterson, John B. McAdam Jr., James McAdam, and Sharleen McAdam; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren of which she was very proud.  She is predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Alice (Abramson) Chase, three brothers and two sisters; two daughters-in-law, Ann Marie McAdam and Julie McAdam and a son-in-law, Thomas Vassar.

Pearl was employed by Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut, where she was a Rosie Riveter, then at American Steel and Wire in Worcester.  The title of Mom which is what she held most dear to her heart and she enjoyed telling her grandchildren stories, reminiscent of her childhood.  She was an avid antique book collector and loved to read.  She loved yard sales and flea markets.  Pearl will be sadly missed as she always told us good night, God bless you and call me when you get home.  The family would like to thank the staff of the Life Care Center in Auburn especially the Primrose Unit where she has lived for six years.
