MILLBURY

MILLBURY – Mary J. (Herron) MacDonald, 56, passed away on 29 January 2021, at home surrounded by loving family and friends, after a short, difficult battle with cancer.

She approached life with an intensity and fervor that saw her through difficult times and raised her to the successes of her life. Mary was a Cold War Veteran that proudly served for eight years in the United States Air Force. She Managed the Natick Branch of the Army, Air Force Exchange Service, aspiring to her current position of Equipment Specialist, which turned out to be the job of her dreams. Affectionately known as the "Boss Lady", Mary had fun with everyone that she encountered, endearing herself with a sharp wit and her smile. She'll always be remembered for her pride in having served in the Air Force, her dedication as a Technical Leader who kept the best interest of her fellow team members and, more importantly, the warfighter, front and center in everything she did and her undying love for the Chicago Cubs and Miami Dolphins, the subject of much heckling. She proudly supported and participated in Rolling Thunder events to keep a light shining on POW/MIA's, letting them know that she had not forgotten. Mary’s patriotism, love for those around her and her sharp wit will be greatly missed."

Mary is survived by her husband of 33 years, John MacDonald, daughters Jessica and Josephine MacDonald, MA, Emily Guerra, GA and Meredith Magee, OH, and 7 grandchildren, Gabriel, Addison, Reagan, and Marin Magee, OH and Julian, Natalia and Lorenna Guerra, GA. She is also survived by her siblings: Dale Quinn, AZ, and Kathy Baker, Karen Biddle, Thomas Herron, Randy Herron, and Jerry Herron, all of IN.

Mary is preceded by her Mother, Lois (Quinn) Herron, Father, Thomas Herron, and Sister Evelyn Nicodemus of Indiana.
