John R. Hazelwood

Grafton- John R. Hazelwood,68, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday November 12 2021.

He leaves behind his two daughters, Tracy L. Hazelwood and Nadene E. Lange; his grandson,Michael J. Hazelwood all of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; his sister Susan E. Manzaro of Worcester; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and very close friend. He is predeceased by his parents, John & Loretta Hazelwood, of Millbury. He was born in Worcester, grew up in Millbury and lived in Grafton most of his life.

John loved playing baseball as a kid, hanging out at A&D pizza, and sitting on the bench at Millbury center. He attended Millbury High School and received his GED. He started working at the Massachusetts American Water Company in 1975. He lived in Hampton, New Hampshire and was a Supervisor at the Hampton Water District. For the last 27 years he has worked at the Grafton Water District; professional Water Utility  Operator where he retired in 2019.

John loved fishing, watching his favorite TV show, “The Rifleman”, and spending time with his family and close friends. He always loved to make people laugh and smile. He was also an active contributor to the American Diabetes Association after receiving his Type 1 diagnosis in 1982.  

There will be no services at this time.
