Doris Collette

MILLBURY - Doris T. (Fortin) Collette, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4th at Webster Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

She leaves her husband, Albert D. Collette of Millbury; her son, Jeff Collette; grandsons, Michael Collette and his wife, Amanda and Mathew Collette and his wife, Ashley; her great grandchildren Addyson, Liam, Payton, and Ariella.

She was predeceased by her sons, David and Michael Collette; her father, Gaston “Buck” Fortin, her mother, Lillian (Gero) Bonanno and her two sisters, Jacqueline and Charlene.

Doris was a lifelong resident of Millbury. She was a wonderful mom and grand mom. Throughout her life she had many careers, most notably as a school bus driver and Millbury Police Dept. dispatcher. Of all her jobs, being a mother and wife is what she enjoyed most.

She was an incredible cook who made delicious deserts with every meal. She loved to entertain and her home was always open to friends and family.

Doris had many hobbies to keep her busy and was always dabbling in something, from ceramics, to bowling, to making teddy bears.

A strong and beautiful woman, she lived a long life filled with love and will be dearly missed.

Doris’s burial will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
