GRAFTON

GRAFTON – It is with great sadness that the family of William J. Letourneau, 85, of Grafton, announces his passing on October 22nd, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Letourneau was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janet N. (Fine) Letourneau; his parents, William V. and Lucille (Girard) Letourneau of Grafton; his sister, Yvette Letourneau of Worcester; and his brother, John Letourneau and his wife, Arlene, of Douglas.

He is survived by his devoted children, Karen Laflamme and her husband, Leo, of Grafton and Jeff Letourneau and his wife, Mary, of Guilford, Connecticut; his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Michael, and Colin Letourneau; his sister, Anne Puntanen, and her husband, Raimo, of Rutland; and his brother, Paul Letourneau, of Grafton.

Mr. Letourneau attended Worcester Trade High School and dedicated the majority of his career to the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center in Natick, where he served as an Instrument and Model Maker and later as a Supervisor and Foreman until his retirement in 2002.

A man of many interests, Mr. Letourneau was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Westborough Country Club. He also enjoyed softball, bowling, and camping with family and friends. He was a passionate sports fan, he followed the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins with great enthusiasm.

Mr. Letourneau will be remembered for his political posts and debates on Facebook, his quick wit and fun-loving sense of humor.

All are invited to a graveside funeral service for William on Wednesday, October 29th at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, 380 Providence Road, South Grafton, MA 01560. There are no calling hours.
