Victor was the son of Victor A. and Edith (Taft) Army. He was born, raised and spent his final years in Millbury. He graduated from Millbury High in 1952 as a multi-sport star in football and baseball and was inducted into the Millbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame. After high school he volunteered for the military, the Army of course. While serving in France he developed a lifelong passion for good food and wine. Upon his return he married his sweetheart Valerie and received his Master Electrician license.
Vic and Val spent 56 years in Grafton raising their family, creating and running Army Electric Company until his retirement. He was an active member and deacon within the Grafton Congregational Church until his move to Millbury. In his spare time Victor could be found working on his many projects, including stone walks and walls for his home and family. His many inventions and fixes were always engineering marvels. He also became a voracious reader in his retirement. Vic and Val were blessed with many friends and family members who shared their love of travel and adventure. Together, they created many memories. Dad didn't say much but when he did we always listened.
A special thank you to the UMass Medical Center Oncology group, Jewish Health Care Hospice and Palliative Personal Care of Worcester for their kindness and care.
