Vernon Brown

January 24, 1928 — October 17, 2001

WORCESTER - Vernon T. Brown, 73, of 4A Addison St., formerly of Millbury, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, in UMASSS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, after an illness.

He leaves a son, Thomas V. Brown of Spencer; a daughter, Patricia E. McKeen of Worcester; four step-daughters, Terri Soucie of Whittier, Ca., Tammy Soucie of Auburn, Tina Cobb of Webster and Karen Gentili of East Brookfield; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter. He was born in Worcester, son of Leo D. and Gertrude F. (Ford) Brown and lived in Millbury many years. He also lived in Charlton and South Grafton.

Mr. Brown was a Lab. Technician at New England High Carbon Wire Co. in Millbury for many years, retiring in 1981. He then worked at Millbrook Distributors in Leicester for 8 years. He was a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #4.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in Mulhane Home for Funeral, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in the funeral home.
