Timothy E. Donovan

MILLBURY - Timothy E. Donovan, 77, passed away suddenly in the comfort of his home on Thursday, March 12th. 

Tim was born in Marlborough, MA on the 14th of September in 1948. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Donna (Arola) Donovan; his two daughters, Jodi and her husband Scott Turner, and Kelly and her husband Daniel Jones; four grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey Turner, and Corey and Meghan Jones, all of Millbury as well as many cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Daniel E. Donovan and mother, Shirley A. (Bertrand) Donovan.

Tim spent his career at Wyman-Gordon in North Grafton, MA as a Metallurgist in the Sonic Department. He was a lifelong resident of Millbury graduating from Millbury High School with the Class of 1966. He enjoyed watching Boston sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, but loved nothing more than watching his daughters play Millbury sports. He was a volunteer umpire for the Millbury Girls Town Softball. 

Tim's greatest joy in life was watching his daughters and sons-in-law raising families of their own.  He was so proud of his grandchildren and all their accomplishments.  His greatest joy in life was being their "Gampie".  

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Tim’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Wednesday, March 18th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. 

His funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19th at 11 a.m. in Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 3 Pleasant Street, Sutton with burial to follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Those attending the funeral service are asked to go directly to church.
