AUBURN – Theresa M. (Messier) Gendron, 84, passed away peacefully and courageously at Rose Monahan Hospice on Wednesday, July 1st surrounded by her loving family.
Theresa’s husband of 62 years, Richard L. Gendron passed in 2021. She leaves two daughters who will miss her immensely, Michelle L. (Gendron) Cronin of Auburn and Cheryl A. Gendron of Shrewsbury, a brother, Leo Messier of Worcester, and several nieces and nephews. Theresa is predeceased by her parents, Dorilla and Olivica (Roberts) Messier. She was born in Worcester on October 15, 1941.
Theresa worked in the assembly/manufacturing industry and was also a housekeeper serving clients in the Worcester area, even washing windows and floors! She loved her family dearly, always giving 100% to them. She was loving, giving, passionate, tenacious, and even flirtatious at times. Her smile was engaging and everyone delighted in her wit.
Theresa enjoyed trips with her husband, Richard, especially to Hawaii and Myrtle Beach. She loved all things Disney and always cherished the family trips to Walt Disney World. Theresa’s favorite pastimes were yard work, walking, taking drives in her car, word searches, and watching TV. She also loved her aunt who lived in Canada and made many memories from the time spent there at her aunt’s farm, speaking of it often.
Family and friends will honor and remember Theresa’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, July 7th from 9 to 10:15 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on the same day at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial to follow in St. Brigid Cemetery, Millbury.
