Sonja L. Quist

SHREWSBURY - Sonja L Quist, reposed peacefully at the age of 71 on August 10th, 2025, from complications due to kidney disease.

Sonja was the beloved daughter of the late Richard Walter Quist and Pauline K Quist, loving sister to Richard Quist Jr., Paul Vincent Quist, the late Tracy Quist Pauk and aunt extraordinaire to niece Brittany Pauk Martins, loving niece to Daryl Hebert and Suzanne and Don Pierson, loving sister-law to Rose Mary Leone and Hank Leone, loving aunt in law to Angelo Leone, loving friend to Pat Bergstrom, Mother extraordinaire to canine daughter Foxy, who loved Sonja so much she hung around for 21 1/2 years, and to turtle toddler Alanis, who is still hanging around, and finally , loving friend to a multitude of family and friends who came to know how wonderful it was to have Sonja in their lives.

An unfailingly kind, caring, and compassionate women, Sonja charmed everyone she met with her quick smile, cheerful disposition, and an unerring mother's eye that made you know she cared. A devote Christian, she lived her faith by devoting her whole life to serving God, family and friends. She will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to remember Sonja’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, August 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16th at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
