MILLBURY – Sheldon “Shelly” Zaklow, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14 at home.
Shelly is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Zemaitis) Zaklow; daughter, Deborah Henderson; stepsons, Steven and Mark Gibree; grandsons, Brian Gibree, Zachary and Nicholas Henderson; and his beloved dog Zoie. He is predeceased by his parents, Murray and Ruth, his brother, Edward and his previous wife, Celia.
Shelly was passionate about mechanical engineering, spending time with those he loved, travel, and his dogs. After growing up in the Bronx, he built a career in manufacturing, managing factories in a variety of industries including wire and cable. He took pride in helping save a Rubbermaid plant and the 400 related jobs.
Family and friends will remember and celebrate Shelly’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, April 19th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
A time of remembrance will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
