Sheldon Brown-Woodward, age 59, of Westborough, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by love and cherished memories. Sheldon was born on April 15, 1967, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Sheldon shared a loving life with his devoted husband, Kevin Brown-Woodward of Westborough. He was the beloved son of Claretta Brown of Lynn.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory, including his sister Annette Peterson and her husband Willie Peterson, sister Lisa Brown and sister Nicole Brown, all of Lynn, brother Armstead Brown and his wife Nicole Brown of Grafton, sister Natavia Mahoney and her husband LeRoy Mahoney of Haverhill, brother Brian “Twin Twin” Brown of California; sister-in-law Beth Woodward and brother-in-law Gregg Woodward of Millbury. Sheldon is also lovingly remembered by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his father, Lenard Brown and brother, Brandon “Big Twin” Brown.
Among those closest to Sheldon’s heart was his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Benny Brown-Woodward of Westborough, Massachusetts, whose companionship brought him great joy and comfort.
For 25 dedicated years, Sheldon worked at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where he was respected by colleagues and appreciated by many for his kindness, professionalism, and warm spirit.
Sheldon loved life and especially enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Some of his happiest memories were made during trips to Las Vegas, Cancún, Aruba, Fort Lauderdale, and the Dominican Republic. He also formed many lasting friendships with the wonderful neighbors and community members at Chauncy Lake in Westborough, who became an extended family to him.
Sheldon will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, sense of humor, resilience, and the love he shared so freely with others. His presence brought comfort and happiness to those around him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will remember and celebrate Sheldon’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, May 21st from 9 to 11 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial in St. Philip’s Cemetery in Grafton.
