Russell J. Boutiette

MILFORD/SOUTHBRIDGE - It is with great sadness We announce the passing of Russell James Boutiette at the age of 73. He passed Early the morning of Jan 11 2026 with his son by his side.

He leaves behind His son Roland Boutiette and wife Julie (Gagliargdi) Boutiette; His stepson James Meunier and wife Hope (Schaeffer) Meunier; ex-wife, love of his life, and mother of his child Janice (Stringham) Boutiette; and Six Grandchildren Kurtis Meunier, Derek Meunier, Henry Boutiette, Calvin Boutiette, Lily Meunier and Forest Boutiette. Russell loved so greatly and leaves behind so many other friends and extended family, that to attempt to name everyone would surely leave someone out.

Russell was born in 1952, The son of Roland Boutiette and Dorothy (Dumais) Boutiette in Linwood MA, a suburb of Uxbridge. A devout catholic and attending catholic schools for most of his educational career, Attended Assumption College in Worcester and achieved a master’s degree in history. After working a series of jobs including teaching, shipping coordinator, electrician, and a couple others, he found a 25-year career at H&R Block.

Russell loved his grandchildren very much. He had many hobbies including stamps, music, playing his guitars, reading, drinking and carrying on, old toys, monster movies, anything science-fiction, corgis, history, and was an avid collector of these favorite things.

Russell was a lovely, memorable, man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Russell’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Monday, January 19th from 9 to 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. 

His funeral service will be celebrated following the visitation at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whitinsville.
