MILLBURY - Rose G. (Gagliardi) DeSantis, 89, of 4B Colonial Dr., died Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Providence House Nursing Home of Millbury.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, Jerry T. DeSantis; a brother, Alfred J. Gagliardi of Auburn; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by two sisters, Mary Gagliardi and Nettie Montaquilla and six brothers, Frank, George, Joseph, John, Albert and Michael Gagliardi. She was born in Millbury, daughter of Leonardo and Grazio (DeMatteo) Gagliardi and has lived here all her life. She attended Millbury Schools.
Mrs. DeSantis worked two years a the former Felters Company during WW II and was a inspector at Phalo Plastics in Shrewsbury for 17 years, retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church.
A funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 3, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lee Aubin Memorial Scholarship Fund, 40 Martin St., Millbury, Ma. 01527.
