Rocco Addeo Jr., 66, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief but fierce battle with cancer.
Rocco was born on February 28, 1960, in Flushing, New York, to Rocco Addeo Sr. and Angela Addeo. At the age of 12, he moved to Marlborough, Massachusetts, where he later graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in 1979.
Rocco worked for many years at Digital Equipment Corporation and EMC Corporation before going on to build his own successful businesses, including Addeo and Sons Construction. Throughout his career, Rocco accomplished a wide range of large-scale projects, including operating a horse farm, constructing commercial properties, remodeling residential homes, developing solar fields, and building self-storage facilities. He also proudly served as a police officer for the town of Upton, Massachusetts, for 13 years.
Rocco was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed riding Harleys, building hot rods, coin collecting, and woodworking. He was well-liked by many and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan, and his sons: Brian, Marc, Chris, and Nick. Rocco also leaves behind his mother, Ann Addeo; his sister Angela Lupachini and her husband, Mike, along with their children, Michael and Gina; his brother Robert Addeo, nephew Evan Addeo, and great-nephews Nate and Nicko; his niece Amanda Andrews and her husband, Mark; his sister Josephine Addeo, his niece Roseangela Dijkam and her husband, Kane; his sister-in-law Jo Bethune, niece Kayla Bethune, and her fiancé, Reed Williamson; and his niece Kellie McInvale and Dennis Tappia, along with great-niece Lily and great-nephew Sebastian.
Family and friends will honor and remember Rocco’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, April 24th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton. Those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to church.
