MILLBURY – Richard Paul Larosee “Rosee”, 76, known for his wit, humor, and unwavering friendships, passed away peacefully on September 14th.
Richard is survived by his daughter Danielle Larosee and partner Timothy Hicks of Boston, MA. He also leaves behind two brothers, David Larosee of Millbury, Brian Larosee and his wife Sue of Millbury; his sister Mary Beth Colarusso and her husband Rick of Millbury; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
He is predeceased by his father Paul Larosee and his mother Rita (Devoe) Larosee.
Born the oldest of four siblings, Richard graduated from Millbury High School in 1967 and proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy meteorologist in Guam during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked for twenty years with the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.
Richard enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and relaxing at the beach. He was an avid gardener and cook who loved harvesting his plants each summer. A devoted New England sports fan, he rarely missed a Red Sox or Patriots game. He also had a passion for wrestling, action films, and sharing music with his brother David. He was often found playing social sports like bowling, horseshoes, and pool with his friends.
He will be remembered for his kindness, encouragement, and love for family and friends. Richard’s life was filled with warmth, laughter, and dedication to those he cared about.
