Raymond Gagne

MILLBURY – Raymond J. Gagne, 59, died July 12th surrounded by his loving family after a long fought battle with cancer.

Ray was born in Worcester to the late Gerard and Jeanne (Latour) Gagne.  He is survived by his brothers, Donald Gagne and his wife, Carol of Grafton and Paul Gagne and his wife, Lisette of Millbury; his sisters, Jacqueline and her husband, Michael Breault of Sutton and Celeste Gagne of Ormond Beach, FL.  Ray also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

Ray attended St. Joseph’s school and graduated from North High School.  He worked many years at Arnold Greene and ConAm.  Ray then discovered his passion and talent for cooking and became a professional cook at several area restaurants.  He worked ten years at the KasBar in Worcester.  Ray loved all things musical and was an avid history buff.  He was a true sports fan of all Boston teams, especially the Boston Bruins.  Ray excelled at golf, playing primarily at Clearview in Millbury.

The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Bradley Switzer for many years of care.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ray’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, July 20th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

His funeral will be celebrated following the visitation at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial of Ray’s urn will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
