MILLBURY – Phyllis (Blankfield) Baldino, 84, passed away, Monday, June 18th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

Her husband, Louis F. Baldino passed away in 2007.  She leaves a son, Michael A. Baldino and his wife, Rachel of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Justin and Emily.  She was born in Brooklyn, New York and is predeceased by her parents, David and Sylvia ((Penstein) Blankfield.

Phyllis was raised in New York City and worked as a bookkeeper prior to marrying Louis.  After living in upstate New York for almost 40 years they moved to Massachusetts in 2006 to live near their grandchildren and watch them grow up.  Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She had a sharp wit and was always ready for a spirited discussion about politics or the news of the day.  She touched many lives and formed many loving friendships during her time at Cordis Mills in Millbury.  She spent her last few months at Shrewsbury Crossings assisted living facility, where she benefitted from the kindness of the staff and residents.

Funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Cancer Association (www.kidneycancer.org/donate).
