MILLBURY – PAULINE F. (PERRON) STONE, 89, began her new journey with her God on January 9, 2026.
She now is back in spirit with her parents Bertha Marie Perron (Dalbec) and Peter Joseph Perron; along with all of her 15 brothers and sisters “what a family reunion” Camille, Beatrice, Irene, Arthur, Jeannette, Antionette, Raymond, Rita, Cecile, Eveline, Theresa, Albert, Robert, Richard and Lorraine.
Pauline is survived by her two children: Diane Mercier (husband Bruce) from Rutland, MA and John Stone (wife Pilar) from Queensbury, NY; grandchildren, Michael Mercier, Brian Mercier, Robbie Weston, Matthew Stone (Amanda), Jason Stone (Ashley), Aaron Stone (Maeve) and Peter Stone; great grandchildren, Joshua, Aurora, Ariella, Oliver and Timothy.
Pauline was a woman of great faith who loved Jesus. The Lord walked with her throughout her life and carried her through the many challenges life placed in her path. One of her greatest accomplishments was teaching her children about the Lord and passing that faith onto them.
Pauline was a teacher of catechism at the Asa Waters Mansion in Millbury and lectured at St. Brigid Parish in Millbury. She grew up on Grafton Hill, where she did actually walk to school each day in the snow but NOT barefoot. She was the 16th child of the family listed above and graduated from the former Girls Trade School in Worcester, later she was employed by Hebert’s Candy Mansion before getting married. Pauline was a home aide for her neighbor’s during their illnesses.
She loved watching and going to the movies. In her earlier years she used to enjoy walking, reading books, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also loved to dance and was known as an excellent dancer. Most of all Pauline dedicated her life to raising her children and managing the home.
Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Pauline’s life by gathering for her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, Jan. 27th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury MA 01527.
