SUTTON – Paul A. Reidy, 98, passed away Monday, Dec. 3rd surrounded by his loving family in Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center of Worcester.
Paul’s wife of 70 years, Eva M. (Paulin) Reidy passed away in 2017. He leaves five children, Susan G. Piel of Millbury; Pamela J. Reidy of Worcester, Joseph A. Reidy and his wife, Donna of Dudley, Maryann J. Jackson and her husband, Paul of Barre and Donna J. Danis and her husband, Eric of Nottingham, NH; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, James J. and Katherine (Kelley) Reidy; a son, Paul F. Reidy; a son-in-law, Kenneth P. Piel and seven siblings.
Paul was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving his country during World War II. He worked at Wyman-Gordon Company for many years, retiring in 1985. Paul was a member of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post of Sutton, Auburn Knights of Columbus #4158, John Cardinal Wright 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in Worcester, the 339th Fighter Group Association, the Greendale Retired Men’s Club in Worcester and Gung Ho Retirees Club from Wyman-Gordon in Worcester.
Family and friends will honor and remember Paul’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Saturday, Dec. 8th from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
His funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center of Worcester Attn: Activities Fund, 378 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
