Paul R. Hagstrom

Paul Richard Hagstrom, 69, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 15, 2026.

Born in Worcester, MA, Paul resided in Millbury before settling in Charlton where he enjoyed spending time on the lake driving his Malibu ski boat and having picnics with his family. A self-taught diesel mechanic, Paul spent over 40 years fixing and driving trucks and doing projects for his friends and family in his caterpillar backhoe.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Nancy (Johnson) Hagstrom and his brother, David Hagstrom. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Janet (Lagerholm) Hagstrom; his daughter, Amanda and her husband Joseph Poletta of Dudley; his son, Paul Michael Hagstrom of Charlton; his grandchildren, Joseph, Jace and Julian Poletta. Paul also leaves behind his sister Karen and her husband Michael Gurnick of Ashland; his sister Linda and her husband David Woisard of Warwick, R.I.; his sister Lisa Jacobs and nephew Justin Jacobs of Millbury as well as many extended family and friends.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, a private viewing for immediate family will be held, followed by cremation.
