Patricia "Pat" Watkins

MILLBURY - Patricia Watkins, 83, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22th leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories and the many people whose lives she touched.

Pat was born and raised in Greenfield, Massachusetts where she attended Rob Roy School and spent much of her life. She worked as a hairdresser for many years, a career that allowed her to connect with and care for so many people throughout her community.

Pat was a strong and resilient woman with a heart of gold. She was the kind of person who would help anyone who needed her, never expecting anything in return. Her strength carried her through life’s challenges, her generous heart made everyone around her feel cared for and loved.

Above all else, Pat was a mother and a grandmother who loved her family with her whole heart. Her children were her greatest pride, and being a mother was one of the most important parts of her life. She loved her family fiercely and would do anything to protect, support and care for them.

Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. Abigail, Cody and Gabrielle brought her a special kind of happiness and love that only a grandmother knows. She treasured the memories they shared and took great pride in watching them grow. The love she gave them will remain a part of who they are for the rest of their lives.

Pat loved life, but nothing meant more to her than family. She found joy in being surrounded by the people she loved, her greatest gift was simply being there for them. Her home, her heart and her life were always opened to the people she cared about.

Pat leaves behind a daughter, Jill Wicklund and her husband, Matthew and her beloved son, Todd Watkins and his wife Lisa. She also leaves her three cherished grandchildren, Abigail Watkins, Cody Watkins, and Gabrielle Daly.

To her family, Pat was so much more than a mother and grandmother. She was their source of strength, their protector, their cheerleader and someone they can always count on. Her absence will leave a space that can never truly be filled.

Although their hearts are broken by her passing, her family finds comfort knowing that she was surrounded by the people she loved most. The memories of her love, her laughter, her strength and her caring heart will be carried with them always.

Pat’s greatest legacy is the love she gave. That love will continue through her children, her grandchildren and all those fortunate enough to have known her. She may no longer be here to hold their hands, but the love she places in their hearts will remain there forever.

She was deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. And she will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Pat’s life by gathering for her Funeral Mass on Thursday, Oct. 15th at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial to follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
