Patricia McCarthy

MILLBURY- M. Patricia (Hill) McCarthy, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 21st at Saint Vincent Hospital, after a brief illness. Pat was born in Worcester and the daughter of Charles and Florence (Lavallee) Hill.

Pat was predeceased by her husband, Hugh McCarthy. She leaves a daughter, Karen Hanratty and a son, Kevin McCarthy; two grandchildren, Chad McCarthy and his partner Rich Rogers and Chelsea McCarthy; five great grandchildren; a sister, Lee Correira and two brothers Mike and Dennis Hill and his wife Diane. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

When she was able, Patricia was on the go taking trips with her friends to the casino, going on cruises, enjoying vacations at the beach, playing card games with the “Golden Girls and The Linders”, and she always found time to do her needle work. She loved raising her family on Lake Singletary and all the family outings she hosted at the house. Pat always carried a sense of humor throughout her life, no matter what was going on.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Patricia’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Monday, July 27th from 4 to 6 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial with her husband in St. Brigid Cemetery will be private.
