Maurice Davieau

GRAFTON - Maurice O. Davieau, 77, of 30 Airport Rd., died Thursday, June 14, in his home, after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Evelyn M. (Moylan) Davieau; two sons, Raymond M. Davieau of Worcester and Denis A. Davieau of Linwood; four daughters, Linda A. Sarsfield of Millbury, Patricia E. Soucy of Auburn, Nancy E. Yaeger of Laconia, N.H. and Carol J. Abraham of Holden; 13 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. His brother, Bernard Davieau predeceased him. He was born in Worcvester, son of Oscar F. and Gladys T. (Grenier) Davieau and has lived in North Grafton for 46 years. He graduated from Assumption Prep High School in Worcester in 1941 and graduated from New England School of Accounting in 1953.

Mr. Davieau was a dispatcher at BLH Electronics in Waltham and Canton for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a Navy veteran during WW II, serving in the South Pacific.

He was a member of St. MaryTM)s Church and a life member of American Legion Post 323 in Worcester. His hobbies were gardening and cross word puzzles.

The funeral will be held Saturday, June 16, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Marys Church, 17 Waterville St.. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Cancer Research, Room H1322, 55 Lake Avenue North, Worcester, Ma. 01655 or to Project 2000 St. Marys Building Fund, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton, 01536.
