SUTTON – Mary B. (Tolman) King, 86, formerly of Church St. and Stone School Road, died Wednesday, July 15th in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough.
Her husband, Francis H. King died in 1989. She leaves two sons, Thomas F. Donahue Jr. of Bokeelia, FL and Michael P. Donahue of Canterbury, NH; six daughters, Margaret F. Dolbow of Goffstown, NH, Ellen C. Mahoney of Sutton, Sheila Viel of Charlton, Elizabeth Mosher of Douglas, Cornelia Messier of Lee and Joan M. Donahue of Sutton; a brother, Robert Tolman of Knoxville, TN and a sister, Eleanor George of Millbury; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, John and Alice (Beck) Tolman and a brother, John Tolman.
Mary was a former assistant at the Sutton Town Library for 10 years, retiring in 1988. She then became a member of the Board of Registrars in Sutton. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Sutton Historical Society and was a former volunteer at the Sutton Senior Center and Waters Farm.
Her Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18th in the First Congregational Church, 312 Boston Rd., on the Common in Sutton. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Sutton Seniors, 19 Hough Rd., Sutton, MA 01590. Mulhane Home for Funerals, in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mary's family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Westborough for their outstanding care of their mother.
