MILLBURY - Mary A. (Sullivan) Hansen, of Millbury, died Saturday, Oct. 13, at home, after being stricken ill.
Her husband, Arthur R. Hansen died in 1989. She leaves a Godson, Zachary R. Shankle of Naples, Florida and many cousins. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John F. and Mary Ellen (Hanavan) Sullivan and has lived in Millbury most of her life.
Mrs. Hansen was an executive secretary for Mass. Electric Co. 43 years, before retiring.
Mrs. Hansen was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, the Nashoba Valley Chapter of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration Inc., a life member of the Millbury Historical Society, a member of the Sutton Historical Society, and a member of the Millbury Woman's Club. She was also a member of the Worcester Opera and the Guild of the Salisbury Lyric Opera and the Worcester Art Museum.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 19, at 11 am in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be private in St. Johns Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Friends of Millbury Seniors, 1 River St., Millbury, MA 01527. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., is in charge of the arrangements.
