SOUTH GRAFTON - Marsha (Desrosiers) Ford 51, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family’s love on Monday, September 27th after a sudden illness at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Worcester MA.
She leaves behind a loving and devoted family including her husband Bill Ford, a son Nathaniel Desrosiers, her parents Harold and Bernadette Desrosiers, sisters Lisa Desrosiers and Monique Quinn and their spouses, a niece Raelene Wolfgang and her son Alexander Wolfgang, a nephew Conlan Perduta, a granddaughter, Kayley O’Connor, her beloved and cherish dog Stewart Little all from Grafton, as well as aunts, cousins and wonderful friends.
Marsha grew up in South Grafton, the youngest of 3 girls. She graduated from Blackstone Valley Vocational Technical High School from the culinary arts program and went on to receive an Associate Degree in Pastry Arts from Johnson and Wales University. She loved baking and making sweet treats, trying new recipes, and making birthday and wedding cakes for families and friends. She worked most recently as bus driver for the Worcester Public Schools and was an active member of the Education Association of Worcester (EAW). She was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her only son Nathaniel and cherished the moments they shared together over the years. She was an avid bingo player and collector of all thing’s elephants, a love she had since childhood. Marsha had a vivacious personality full love, fun and laughter. She enjoyed summers camping in Connecticut with her husband and dog, having family and friends over for days filled with fun and lots of laughter or evenings sitting by the campfire. She loved traveling to visit family across the country and taking cruises. She had a kind and generous spirt that overflowed every time she smiled and was always ready to give a hug. Her motto was “Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away”, and that’s how she lived. Her presence will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Family and friends will celebrate and remember Marsha with a time of visitation on Thursday October 7th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
The burial will be private with just family and invited personal friends at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton at a later date.
