Marion DesJardins

DUDLEY – Marion Anita Catherine (Reidy) DesJardins, 98 passed away on Friday, July 24th at home surrounded by her loving family.

Marion is predeceased by her husband Paul, and leaves behind seven children:

Barbara Waitkevich and her husband Tony, Paula Faron and her husband Mike, David DesJardins, predeceased by his wife Tina, Deborah DesJardins and her husband Walt Tolmie, Gail Gilbert, Carol Kelly and Mary Finacom and her husband Tom.

Marion leaves 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marion retired from the telephone company after 36 years. She will be remembered as a caring, loving soul who was never too busy to help a friend, have a kind word, or just give a warm hug when needed. She never gave up and passed her determination, generosity, and integrity to her children.

Marion loved to do puzzles, dance, crochet, embroider, win card games, and in the winter shovel all the snow. She used humor to manage her children, and that has been passed down to all 7 of them. Marion loved life and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her children will be forever grateful for her selflessness and support throughout the years.

She will be in our hearts and minds until we meet again! Thank you, MOM!

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marion’s life by gathering for her funeral service on Thursday, August 6th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow the service in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
