Mardel A. Parsekian

MILLBURY – Mardel A. (Carlson) Parsekian, 93, passed away  Wednesday, March 13^th with her loving family by her side, after results from a stroke.  

She is predeceased by the one love of her life John (Jack) Parsekian and her son John Peter Parsekian of Millbury. 

She leaves behind her son Robert Parsekian of Millbury. A grandson John R. Parsekian and wife Amy of Sutton. Two granddaughters Jennifer (Parsekian) Turner and Nicole Parsekian both of Millbury. Two great grandson’s Joshua Parsekian and fiancé Angela of Millbury and Michael Parsekian of Sutton. And her Great Great grandson Jullian Parsekian who made her smile just by mentioning his name. Also a brother Fredrick (Teddy) Carlson of Millbury.

She worked at Allegro Co. And retired from Digital in Hudson as a Supervisor of Engineering. She was very active in the Millbury Senior Center, where she volunteered her time preparing meals on wheels for distribution. The center was a big part of Del’s life where she spent times with decades old friends and made great new friends throughout the years. She was a strong, independent, amazing role model to many. It was no secret that her most treasured moments were spent with her family and grandchildren. 

She liked to bake, garden and shop. She enjoyed vacations, cruising and going to the casino. She loved chocolate and a good glass of red wine. 

She had a life well lived and well loved. She will be forever remembered and dearly missed as she was a devoted family matriarch. 

Family and friends will remember Mardel’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Saturday, March 30^th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.  Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with burial in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.

Directly Following services will be a Remembrance of Life at Chester P Tuttle Post 279, 88 Bancroft St. Auburn. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Millbury Senior Center, 1 River St. Millbury, MA 01527.
