MILLBURY – Marcella M. "Sissy" Hayes, 84, died Tuesday, March 17th in the Sunbridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves a brother, James F. "Tyke" Hayes and his wife, Lorraine of Millbury and a dear friend, Debbie Brown of Oxford. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, John and Maude (Henegan) Hayes, her sisters, Rita Beauregard, Florence McGrath and Mercedes Gagliardi and her brothers, James Fink, Father Emmett Fink and Raymond Fink.
Sissy graduated from Millbury High School in 1942 and was a cosmetologist for many years, working in the Worcester area.
Her funeral will be held Friday, March 20th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Millbury Seniors, One River St., Millbury, MA 01527.
