SUTTON - Mae L. (Bengtson) Watt, 78, of 5 Forest Hill Dr., died Saturday, Aug. 24, in Beaumont Nursing, Rehabilitation and skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband, of 57 years, George H. Watt; three daughters, Sharyn E. Watt of LaHabra, Ca., Shirley E. Wandland of Grafton and Joan E. Newton of Sutton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Eugenia (Sjrogren) Bengtson and lived in Millbury before moving to Sutton in 1959. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1942.
Mrs. Watt was a life member of the First Congregational Church in Millbury. She was also active in church activities including a Sunday School teacher and a member of the churchTM)s WomenTM)s Fellowship.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, West Main St., Millbury. Burial will be private in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury (
