Leo M. Robitaille, 81, of Auburn, MA and Palm Bay, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday June 23rd surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 28, 1943 in Worcester, MA, Leo was the son of Anthony and Rita (Mathurin) Robitaille. Leo grew up in Worcester and graduated from Holy Name High School.
Leo married his high school sweetheart Connie (Dubuque) in 1964, and together they shared 61 wonderful years. In addition to his loving wife, Leo is survived by two sons, David and his wife Elaine of Charlton, MA and Denis of Webster, MA. Four much-loved grandchildren, Amanda and her fiancé Ryan of Winchester, MA. David Jr, and his girlfriend Amanda of Monson, MA, Emma of Charlton, MA and Gage of Putnam, CT. Leo leaves two sisters Cecile Boss of North Grosvenordale, CT, and Louise Forget of Douglas, MA and one brother Paul Robitaille of Brookfield, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
Leo worked for many years at Worcester State Hospital as a patient caretaker. He made the decision to retire early and spend his time doing what he enjoyed the most. Leo spent his winters with his wife at their home in Palm Bay, FL, and found great joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Leo had a genuine love for the little things in life; he loved square dancing, bowling with friends, and never passed up a scoop of ice cream or a fresh cookie.
Family and friends will honor and remember Leo’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday June 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N Main Street, Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 28th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N Main Street, Millbury. Followed by burial at St. Phillip Cemetery in Grafton.
