Lena Neri

MILLBURY – Lena L. Neri, 94, died Wednesday, Feb 14th in her home, after a short illness.

She is predeceased by her sister, Rose B. Neri with whom she lived and her parents, Louis G. and Maria C. (Pititto) Neri and lived in Millbury all her life and was especially close to her sister, Rose.

Lena received her Bachelor’s Degree in 1944 and then her Master’s Degree in 1945 from Boston University.  She was a medical research professional at Massachusetts General in Boston for over 20 years.  She also worked for her father’s contracting business for many years as a bookkeeper.  She was a cheerful and positive individual and will be missed by all.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24th in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury.  Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23rd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St. in Millbury.  Entombment will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. Millbury, MA 01527
