MILLBURY – Kelley (DiCicco) Foley Akers, 54, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous four-and-a-half-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Akers of Millbury; her beloved sons, Austin and Jake Foley and Anthony Collette of Millbury; her stepchildren, Christopher and his wife, Melony Akers of White River Junction, VT, and Kaitlyn and her husband, Stephen Mingolla of Upton; and her cherished grandson, Keagan Mingolla of Upton.
Kelley also leaves behind her parents, Paul and Diane DiCicco of Millbury; her mother-in-law, Elaine Akers of Middleboro, MA; her sister, Kim Colbert, and her partner, Phil Beando of Auburn; her brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Nancy DiCicco of Glen Ridge, NJ; her brother-in-law, Steven Akers of Middleboro, MA; and many nieces and nephews, including her godchildren, Adam and Lily, as well as Jared, Gavin, Lauren, Maeve, Izabella, and Samantha. She was blessed with countless friends who were like family to her.
Kelley worked in the financial industry for more than 25 years, most recently as a loan officer with Milestone Mortgage, where she ranked among the company’s top ten loan officers. She was devoted to her clients and never stopped short of helping them achieve their dreams. A 1989 graduate of Holy Name Central Catholic High School in Worcester and a 1993 graduate of Westfield State College, Kelley maintained close friendships from both schools. These lifelong friends regularly traveled together and supported one another through every stage of life.
She loved spending time with family and friends at her Sebago Lake house and shared a passion for travel with Tommy, always eager to discover new places together. Kelley and Tommy especially enjoyed hosting Sunday Fundays and their legendary Fourth of July parties. A lifelong collector of friends, Kelley never let any slip away but instead kept adding more to her circle. She often said, and truly lived by, the motto, “Embrace every day in every way.”
