WORCESTER - Joy A. (Army) Flamand, 60, of 9 Electric St., formerly of Burbank St., Millbury, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, in St. Vincent Hospital, at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.

Her husband Alfred A. Flamand died in 1977. She leaves three sons, Alfred A. 'Butch' Flamand Jr. of Worcester, Jon G. Flamand and Jeffrey M. Flamand both of Millbury; a daughter, Denise M. Mondor of Auburn; a sister, Cheryl Collette of St. Petersburg, Fl.; four grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Gerald J. Army and Doris (Bassett) Army Flagg and lived in Millbury most of her life moving to Worcester three years ago. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1960.

Mrs. Flamand formerly worked at Omni Resources in Millbury.

She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church. She enjoyed reading and puzzles.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Massachusetts Affiliate, 1 Bromfield St., 5th Floor, Boston, Ma. 02108.
