Joseph Sullivan

MILLBURY - Joseph Timothy Sullivan, 93, passed away peacefully late Monday evening, August 13, 2018, at the Beaumont Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, MA while battling an infection.

Born in Worcester the son the late Daniel and Mary (Holland) Sullivan.  His sibling, Sister Rose Marie Sullivan (SSJ) and eldest son Craig Thomas Sullivan preceded Joe.  He leaves behind his loving wife Irene (Maynard) Sullivan of 66 years of marriage and three surviving children John and his wife Suzanne of South Pasadena, FL, Daniel and his wife Sandra of Shrewsbury and Joseph Sullivan, Jr of Millbury, a daughter-in-law, Deborah Sullivan along with several grand and great grand children.

Joe proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII, survived multiple invasions and landings in the Pacific followed by over 35 years of service with National Grid as a lineman and ended his career at Executive Director of the Millbury Housing Authority between 1969-1979.

Joe will be remembered for his love of family, friends, food, playing cards, building airplanes, helicopters and enjoyment of ice cream with family and friends.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joe’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, Aug. 23rd from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.  Burial will at private.
