MILLBURY - Jennie O. Paplawsky, 87, of 4 Cherry St., died Sunday, Sept. 22, in Shrewsbury Crossing, 311 Main St., Shrewsbury.
She leaves a brother, Felix Paplawsky of Sun City, Ca. and nephews She was born in Millbury, daughter of Sygmont and Octavia (Falevich) Paplawsky and lived in Millbury all of her life. She graduated from Millbury High School and Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester.
Miss Paplawsky was a Registered Nurse and worked with the practice of Dr. Phillips for 28 years, then worked at Worcester City Hospital and then Memorial Hospital where she retired in 1985, all in Worcester.
She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and the Worcester City Hospital Alumni. She loved gardening and was an avid reading.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St.. Burial will be in St. Brigids Cemetery. A calling period will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to UMASS Memorial Home Hospice Health Care, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, Ma. 01605 or to the Friends of the Millbury Public Library, Elm St., Millbury, Ma. 01527 .
