Janice A. Despres

MILLBURY - Janice A (Brodeur) Despres passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 71, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loving family.

She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She leaves a husband of 21 years, Ronald Despres; a daughter, Amy Parsekian and husband John; a son, Eric LaForte and wife Lisa; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Despres and stepson, Joseph Despres; 5 grandchildren; Michael Parsekian, Brian and Emily LaForte, Drew and Jake Despres; and 2 sisters; Susan Gardner of Millbury and Elise Matteson of Brookfield.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Buma and Denise Brodeur.

She was born to Theodore R and Pauline T. (Anger) Brodeur and was raised in Millbury where she lived until her death.

Janice loved spending time with her husband, Ron, hiking, travelling to National Parks, and especially loved completing woodworking projects for her family.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally.

The family will have a private service, per Janice’s wishes.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
