James Graves

SUTTON -  James Graves, 81, passed peacefully on January 20th after a brief illness.

James leaves his wife of 58 years, Gale (Decker) Graves, his children Sean Graves, Sherrie Morin and her husband Robert, Laura Graves, Wendy Brooks and her husband Ryan, grandsons James Morin and his wife Brittany, Michael Morin, granddaughters Emily Brooks and Kaitlyn Brooks, and his great-granddaughter Amelia along with many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his grandson Joseph Morin.

James was a welder by trade at New England Power. He enjoyed animals of all kinds, but especially his beloved Belgian horses and all his dogs and grandpups.  He spent many years volunteering at Waters Farm in Sutton building barns, giving hayrides, and participating in sleigh days when the weather cooperated.  His best times were when the whole family came together for a meal and a card game.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember James’ life by gathering for a time of

visitation on Wednesday, January 24th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 25th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, 356 Boston Road, Sutton. Burial will follow in Howard Cemetery, Sutton.
