MILLBURY – Helen (Karpowich) Perron, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Monday.
Helen will be missed by two daughters; Suzanne (Perron) Garza of Millbury & Cindy (Perron) Hurston of TN, and sister, Judith Karpowich of Malden. She is predeceased by her daughter Deborah Perron, as well as brothers; Philip & Francis. She leaves 7 grandchildren; Jennifer Garza of Worcester, Daniel Garza of Millbury, Kenneth Garofalo of Boston, Juliet L’Esperance of Worcester, Angelica & Peter Hurston of FL, Ariana Hurston of TN and her great granddaughter, Lily Kelleher of Worcester.
Helen was born and raised in Worcester and attended Commerce High School. She then made her home and raised her family in Millbury. Helen was a long-term, valued employee of the Worcester Knitting Co., and made life-long friends & memories during her many years at the Worcester Centrum.
Helen loved the Lord and attended Cavalry Evangelistic Center and the Chapel at the Mill. Helen found joy by the ocean and days at the beach. She eagerly anticipated vacations on Cape Cod. Helen always looked forward to family gatherings, holidays and was especially fond of ringing in the New Year with a fun celebration. Her many nieces and nephews cherished her dearly and referred to her warmly as “Auntie Tootsie”. Helen always enjoyed music, singing and a good game of cards. Her love of animals was apparent, especially for her cats Samantha, Simba & Buddy. Helen’s smart sense of humor and sharp wit were unmatched.
Family and friends will remember and celebrate Helen’s life with a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 14th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N Main Street, Millbury.
Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
