Helen M. Carrignan

MILLBURY – Helen M. (Gwozdowski) Carrignan, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30th after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Helen leaves her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Carrignan; two sons, Todd Carrignan and his wife, Kimberly of Millbury and Shawn Carrignan and his wife, Tiffeny of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Sean, Sandra, Atalia, Anna and Skylar; a sister, Nancy Tauper and her husband, Jospeh of Florida and a niece, Casey Libby and her husband, Timothy of Georgia. Helen is predeceased by a grandson, Owen Carrignan.

Helen worked as a loan officer at the Millbury National Bank for many years. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, trips to Aruba, and going to the casino to play the slot machines. Helen loved family vacations in the summers at Hampton Beach and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Family and friends will honor and remember Helen’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Monday, April 6th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial to follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
