DUDLEY - Heather Ryan-Young, 45, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on August 23, 2026 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a short illness.
Born in Milford, Massachusetts on August 18, 1981 the daughter of John and Diane Ryan of Douglas. She is survived by her mother Diane Ryan, her daughter Pandorah Peterson Di Giorno. She also leaves her cousin Jason Sutkaitis and his wife Allison and her former husband Jared Young. Heather also leaves her Uncle Paul Ryan and Aunt Susan of Millbury. She will be dearly missed by her friends Beth Damico-Reyes, David Patterson, Diana Gerani, Ed Socha, Bridget Racicot, Crystal Kozlowski, and Karl Peterson and many cousins and friends. Heather is welcomed in the afterlife by her father John and Uncle Thomas.
Heather was a graduate of Holy Name High School. She worked as a CNA, unit clerk and patient representative at UMass Memorial Hospital. In her last position, she worked for the Turf Manager.
Heather loved to read, draw, play cards, play pool and darts but most of all she had a deep emotional connection to music she loved classic artists such as The Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Doors, Otis Redding and Etta James.
Heather was creative, witty, sarcastic, funny, loving, opinionated and empathetic. She was someone you could talk to about anything, and someone whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Heather’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 31st from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post 414, 156 Boston Road, Sutton, Ma. A private burial will be held at a later time in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and a donation be made to the donor choice.
