Frances Kowski

GRAFTON Frances L. (Butkevich) Kowski, 80, of 126 Millbury St., died Monday, Jan. 1st in Radius Health Care Center, Millbury.

Her husband, Leo P. Kowski died in 1961. She leaves two daughters, Joanne Juskavitch of Millbury and Ruth A. Thorpe of Poway, CA; three grandchildren, Scott and Todd Juskavitch and Ryan Thorpe. Frances is predeceased by a sister, Antionette Kadar and two brothers, Vitti and Peter Butkevich. She was born in Grafton, daughter of Joseph and Melivina (Lisauskas) Butkevitch and has lived in Grafton all her life.

Frances was a dispatcher at Bay State Abrasives, in Westborough for 32 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. PhilipTM)s Church and past president of the churchTM)s WomenTM)s Guild, a member of the retirees of Bay State Abrasives, the Grafton Seniors, a member and past president of the auxiliary of the Delisle-Goulet American Legion Post 92. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1943 and then from David Hale Fanning Trade School.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 6th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. PhilipTM)s Church, 12 West St., Grafton. Burial will be in St. PhilipTM)s Cemetery, Grafton. Calling hours are 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral, in the funeral home.
