Dorothy M. Woodward

MILLBURY - Dorothy M. (Johnston) Woodward, 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 21st in the Jewish Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Joseph P. Woodward who passed in 1995. She leaves six children; Diane Farmer and her husband Alan of Worcester, Jane Robo and her husband Phil of Leicester, Joseph Woodward and his wife Beth of Holden, Kathleen Woodward of Worcester, Patricia Woodward of Holden and Marilyn Benson and her husband Robert of CT; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister Barbara Fiore; a brother Joseph Johnston; along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by her son, John Woodward; a brother, Richard Johnston and a sister Marguerite Caffone.

At an early age Dorothy began working at New England Telephone Company. After raising her family, she continued working at Friendly’s Restaurant as a server. Dorothy loved raising her children and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.

Family and Friends are welcome to gather for a time of visitation on Thursday Oct. 29th from 9 to 10:15 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated following the visitation at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
