Dorothy Kuczka

MILLBURY - Dorothy (Sharameta) Kuczka, 102, died peacefully in the comfort of her younger daughter’s home on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Her husband, Constantine Stanley Kuczka, predeceased her in 2000.

She leaves behind two daughters, Dianne Scott of Philadelphia and Debra Kuczka of Millbury; 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Scott; 6 great grandchildren, Morgan, Ashley Jr., Ryan, Lea, and Ruby Scott, Emma Cantwell and one great-great grandchild, Georgia. She also leaves behind special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Frances Sharameta; a sister Josephine Talbot; a brother Joseph Sharameta; and a half sister, Karen Drouin.

Dorothy started her career with the Federal Office of Price Administration during WWII allocating ration stamps, and then she worked as a bookkeeper at several companies as well as Charles Restaurant which was owned by her father. She enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, movies and comedy shows. She was always the life of the party! She also liked gardening and was a member of the Grafton Garden Club. She liked reading, going to the beach, but her most favorite thing of all was just sitting in the sun!!!

Dorothy was proud of an award that she received during National Home Care Week for outstanding service and dedication in providing care for her elderly parents in her home for 13 years. She was also proud of her attendance at the annual Novena of Grace in Honor of Saint Francis Xavier at Saint John’s Church in Worcester for almost a century. She remembers her own mother taking her when she was a very young toddler.

Per her wishes there will be no funeral services, but a Memorial Service will be celebrated sometime in the late Spring early Summer with a celebration of her life to follow. A very special thanks to Maria Turner and Gail Rawlston who helped with her care the last four years.
