Dorothy A. Gibeault

MILLBURY – Dorothy A. (Carroll) Gibeault, passed away peacefully on July 24th surrounded by the love of her family at Rose Monahan Hospice Home. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and doting grandmother.

Dottie was a force to be reckoned with! She was born in Lafollette, TN to Hayes C. Carroll and Julia E. King. From humble beginnings she faced many struggles in life until she found her way to Massachusetts where she met the love of her life, Phil. At a chance meeting, he was playing in a band and decided to give her a kiss which also led to a slap, but it had to have been a good kiss because they were together for over 60 years.

Dorothy worked many years in the assembly & manufacturing industry, mostly at Complay Products in Worcester as a foreman, she later became a home health aide

Dottie is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Philippe “Phil” H. Gibeault, Sr. She is survived by their two children, Ramona Haskins and her husband Douglas of Oxford and Philippe Gibeault Jr. and his wife Marion of Millbury; seven grandchildren, Douglas Haskins Jr and wife Brittany of Oxford, David Haskins of Oxford, Emily Silvestri and husband Alex of Southbridge, Hailey Gibeault of Millbury, Nicholas French and partner Juliana Daggett on North Kingston RI, Jamison Gorrie of Millbury and Cassidy Gorrie of Millbury; one great grand daughter Kerith-Kay Haskins of oxford

Dorothy “Dottie” will always be remembered as a kind and caring person. She spent over 20 years in the Millbury Lioness Club as well as being an avid gardener, she was a great cook and crafter. She loved the ocean, dancing, music and most of all going on trips with her husband, friends and family.

Dottie’s family will remember and celebrate her life with private services.
