Donald M. Salerno

SUTTON - Donald Michael Salerno “Spim”, 71, passed away peacefully in his home in Sutton MA on Thursday, October 12th after a brief illness.

Don leaves his wife of 38 years, Marna E Hasz; a brother Charles Salerno, Jr. and his wife Carol of West Yarmouth, 28 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Don was born and raised in Waterbury, CT and graduated from WPI with a B.S. in chemical engineering. He spent his career as a chemical sales representative for various companies in the printed circuit board industry.

He was an avid home theatre enthusiast and was always willing to assist others in setting up their systems.  Don loved science fiction, enjoyed boating, sailing, classic cars, attending fireworks displays, and following the financial markets.

Family and friends will sorely miss his generosity, his razor-sharp wit and sense of humor, and his extensive knowledge of music and movies.  He and Marna hosted many gatherings in Sutton and Harrisville NH with an eclectic group of family, college friends, former roommates, Marna's friends, and children of all.

All of his family and friends are invited to remember Don and celebrate his life by gathering for visitation on Monday, October 23, 2023 (his birthday) from 2:00 to 4:00 at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 North Main St., Millbury MA.  An opportunity for guests to share their memories of him will be held from 3:30-4:00 PM.
