Denis Lavoie

MILLBURY- Denis C. Lavoie, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 18th surrounded by his loving family.

Denis is predeceased by his wife, Dolores (Martinez) Lavoie. He leaves his daughter, Jennifer Remuck and her husband, Scott of Millbury; two grandchildren, Jack Remuck and his wife, Kara of Weiser, Idaho and Samantha Remuck of Millbury; a great granddaughter, Kinsley; a sister, Cathy Sauvageau of Grand Forks, North Dakota; a sister-in-law, Georgeanne Lavoie of Hubbardston and many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his parents Benoit and Marguerite (Demers) Lavoie; two brothers, Louis and Michael Lavoie.

Denis grew up in Grafton and lived most of his life in Millbury. He loved fly fishing, golfing, camping in New Hampshire and golf trips to South Carolina. Denis worked many years as a mixer for Bay State Abrasive in Westborough and later as inventory controller for a few chemical companies before retiring. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice for all their care and support.

Family and friends will honor and remember Denis’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, May 22nd from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury, Ma. 01527. 

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23rd at 10:30 am in St. Brigid Church 59 N. Main Street, Millbury with burial to follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
